1. Data controller
Reserva d'Emoções — Unipessoal, Lda., tax number (NIF) 516 821 938, with registered office at Avenida Beato Nuno, 2495-401 Fátima, Portugal, is the controller of the personal data processing described in this policy.
For questions about data protection or to exercise your rights, you can contact us by email at viagens@reservademocoes.pt, by phone (+351 928 055 532, Portuguese mobile number) or in person at our office, Rua 13 de Maio, 41, Loja 41C, Edifício Fonte Nova, 2495-414 Fátima, Portugal.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy explains how data is processed when you visit this website and when you contact us through the phone, email, WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook and Instagram links.
The website has no contact forms, user accounts, online bookings or payments, and does not use analytics, advertising or profiling tools.
If a contact leads to a booking or to a service being contracted, you will be given the additional information that applies to the processing of the data needed to provide that service.
3. Website technical logs
When you visit the website, the server that hosts it automatically records some technical data, such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the page viewed and the type of browser and device used.
These logs are used only to keep the website working and secure, for example to detect abusive access or technical errors. The legal basis is the agency's legitimate interest in keeping the website secure and operational.
The logs are kept only for as long as needed for these purposes, as configured by the hosting provider, and are not used to identify visitors or for marketing purposes.
The website's fonts and images are loaded from its own server, without using external services.
3.1. List of trips
The trips shown on the Home and Trips pages are updated from a spreadsheet kept by the agency on Google Sheets. When you open these pages, your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch that list, which means your IP address is shared with Google. This connection does not use cookies or send any other data about you. The legal basis is the agency's legitimate interest in keeping trip information up to date.
4. Location map
On the Contact page, the Google Maps map is only loaded if you click the "Show map" button. From that moment, Google receives data such as your IP address and may store cookies on your device, in accordance with its own privacy policy. If you do not click the button, no data is sent to Google through the map.
5. Contact by phone, email, WhatsApp and Messenger
When you contact the agency, we may process the data you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address and the information included in your message.
This data is used to reply to your request, provide information and, when requested, take the steps needed to prepare a booking.
The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, where applicable. For other requests for information, the basis is the agency's legitimate interest in managing and replying to the messages it receives, balanced against your rights and interests.
The agency does not use data received through these contacts to send advertising without your prior consent or another appropriate legal basis.
6. Third-party services and international transfers
The WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook and Instagram links open services provided by Meta (WhatsApp Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited). The email and phone links open the app of your choice. Using these services involves data processing by their providers, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
To manage communications, the agency uses the following service providers:
- Email: Dominios.pt (DMNS – Dominios, S.A.), with servers in Portugal
- Messaging: WhatsApp and Messenger (Meta)
- Website hosting: Dominios.pt (DMNS – Dominios, S.A.), with servers in Portugal
Meta and Google (through Google Sheets and, if you choose to load it, Google Maps) may transfer data outside the European Economic Area, in particular to the United States. These transfers rely on the safeguards provided for in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), such as the adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
7. Recipients of the data
The data may be accessed by authorized agency staff and by the service providers listed above, to the extent needed for communications and the systems used to work, subject to the applicable data protection obligations.
It may also be disclosed to public authorities where required by law.
Any further disclosure needed to organize a trip, for example to hotels, transport companies or insurers, will be covered by the information provided for that booking.
8. Data retention
Data relating to information requests that do not lead to a booking is kept for 12 months after the last contact.
If a contact leads to a contract, the data is kept for as long as needed to perform the contract, to meet legal obligations — such as keeping invoices for the period required by Portuguese tax law — and to establish or defend legal claims.
Data is deleted or anonymized once it is no longer needed, unless there is a legal basis for keeping it.
9. Your rights
Under the applicable law, you can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, where the legal conditions are met.
Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before.
Requests should be sent to the email address given in section 1. If necessary, the agency may ask for the additional information strictly needed to confirm your identity. We will reply within one month, which may be extended as provided by law.
No automated decisions are made and no profiles are created based on your data.
10. Data protection complaints
If you believe the processing of your personal data breaches the applicable law, you can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados — CNPD (www.cnpd.pt), or with the data protection authority in the EU country where you live.
11. Updates to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to how the website works or to the data processing described. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
